From November 1, 2022, the German Embassy will offer more appointment slots for students applying for visas.

Since there are still a number of candidates on the appointment waitlist, it is unfortunately not possible for the embassy/consulates to verify who still holds a valid admission from a German university. In this regard, all students are kindly asked to register for an appointment only if they have obtained all required documents

Students from India must also get their academic records assessed by the Academic Evaluation Centre (APS) and obtain authenticity certificates before applying for student visas.

The German Missions in India have announced that APS certificates will be a mandatory part of the visa application process as of November 1st.

To apply for a visa, applicants must have an APS certificate. The application period for APS will begin on October 1st, 2022.

As a means of accelerating student admissions and visa processing, the German Embassy has established the APS, which is attached to its Science Section.
